I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
